BREAD & BUTTER LETTERS
"YOUR NOTE MADE MY DAY AND BROUGHT ME BACK UP TO WHERE I WANTED TO BE."
"Hey, my name is Chris and you guys left a note on my car the other day. That particular day was a really hard day for me and I was feeling pretty low. Your note made my day and brought me back up to where I wanted to be. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness. People like you are the reason I am proud to have been able to serve my country, and people like you are the reason I am continuing to pursue a public service career. Thank you for what you are doing. I mean that from the very bottom of my heart. Thank you."
~Chris O., Veteran
"FAITH IN HUMANITY RESTORED."
"I parked at Target to wait for my wife to pick up some allergy medication. As I waited, a lady approached my driver window with this envelope. She said that she noticed my veteran plates and had these notes ready to give to the veteran drivers. Faith in humanity restored. I'm certainly not one of those vets that feels comfortable receiving thanks, let alone receiving a wonderfully constructed sentiment of genuine appreciation. But politics and personal differences aside, human kindness can bridge our gaps. Thank you, Ms. Natalie wherever you are. You're a beautiful person and this act of kindness put an angry veteran's cold heart back in its place." ~Mark W., USMC
"I WILL HAVE THIS NOTE MY WHOLE LIFE."
"My parents got one of these on their car today. I am their son, their Marine, and I can't express how grateful I am to see that note. I am not home with them, as I am stationed somewhere else. But still very heartwarming and in my 4 years, and about to go on my second deployment, it's the first time I have received thanks for my service and I don't truly know how to respond other than thank you. I will surely have this note my whole life. "
~Love, Corporal Caparell, USMC
"YOU PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE."
"I had a very long and annoying ass day today. I'm tired, hungry and in desperate need of a hot shower. But then this amazing ass shit happened. When I finally got back to the work shop and headed to my car to go home, I found this letter in my window. I don't know who this person is and have no clue how they knew I was a vet. But whoever you are, thank you. You turned a shitty day into an awesome one. You put a smile on my face and restored my faith in humanity just a little bit today. And considering everything that has happened lately, and what this upcoming weekend is all about, I really fuckin' appreciate that. So from the bottom of my heart ... thank you, kind stranger." ~Kevin H., Veteran
"… CLOSEST THING TO A GUARDIAN ANGEL."
"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was July 8, 2016. I was going through a very, VERY tough time. I was depressed, I was alone, and I needed something. I walked out of a movie theater and saw this on my windshield. I felt loved and appreciated, even by a complete stranger. I cried, then smiled, and lifted my head up. Thank you, Natalie! From what I can tell, you’re the closest thing we have to a guardian angel.” ~David S., Veteran
"YOU ARE DEFINITELY MAKING A DIFFERENCE!"
"I remember the day my husband received one of your notes. He came in to show it to me, and he had a happier attitude for the entire day. The Note made him feel not everyone out there hates the police! You are definitely making a difference, one card at a time.” ~Cindy N., LEO Wife
"YOUR CARD HELPED ME THROUGH THE DAY!"
"I received a note from you a couple of days before Thanksgiving … That note really made my day. I had lost my father earlier in the year and my mother was in hospice care and was told that day she was not going to be much longer. Your card helped me through the day. As a veteran and law enforcement officer, I thank you for the card. It is a wonderful thing you are doing!”
~Charles M., Veteran/Law Enforcement Officer
"I WAS LITERALLY AT A LOSS FOR WORDS."
"A few weeks ago I took my son to the movies and when we returned to my truck I found a note on my truck addressed to a combat veteran. As I skeptically opened the letter and read it, I was completely taken aback by the heartfelt message. I was literally at a loss for words. Not only was it handwritten, but very inspirational and touching. Your letter came at the most perfect time too, as I was having a very rough week. Not only did this brighten my day, it made my month. As I posted it on Facebook, it didn't take long for all the internet sleuths to find you. Your letter is proudly displayed on the door of my fridge along with my 6 year old sons drawings. When I look at it, I take it to heart knowing that there are people like you that take the time out of your day to brighten others day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Natalie for everything you do." ~LeRoy S., Combat Veteran
"THE NOTE MADE IT ALL BETTER."
"Natalie left me a note in Peoria, AZ today at Albertson's parking lot. The note really made my day. I'm a bi-lat combat wounded Army vet amputee. Was shopping and hurting from walking. But, the note made it all better. Thanks Natalie!"
~Bradley L., Veteran
"… LARGEST GIFTS I'VE EVER RECEIVED."
"Natalie: It was 10:45 or later Monday morning when I walked out of my psychiatrist office after 45 minutes of an emotionally draining session. I found myself in the lobby (I don't know why.) When you came into the VA Center in Anthem, AZ, you said something nice to me and handed me a card and then left. I didn't take much notice of what you handed me at first, but sitting in my car I opened the little envelope with pretty stars on it and removed one of the largest gifts I have ever received. Your thank-you note was so touching that I sat and cried for 155 minutes before I could even drive. Just noticing it on the table still brings me to tears (of emotional release) almost a week later. I never heard anything like that during the Nam War, quite the contrary! Again, thank you so much! God bless you." ~Don I., Veteran
"SIMPLY AMAZING!"

"… SOMETHING I WILL SAVE AND CHERISH."
"I got the note you left on my patrol car today. I looked up the site, and saw you even took a picture of my patrol car today in Glendale with the post. I can't tell you what it means to have gotten this today. This note is something I will save and cherish. It's things like this that help me through the days with rough calls. Thank you for the note." ~Zach A., Law Enforcement Officer
"YOU WON’T BE FORGOTTEN."
"Hello Natalie, I just wanted to reach out and say … thank you!! You left a card on my Toyota Tundra yesterday outside Walmart. I found myself driving home with a tear slowly rolling down my face. I have never had a stranger do something like that for me. The thoughtfulness and time you take to do this is priceless and touched me in a place I often forget about. I genuinely appreciate your kind heart. Thank you for making a positive difference in my day!! You won’t be forgotten!!" ~Sincerely, John M., Veteran
"THANK YOU FOR MOTIVATING US."
"I walked out to a handwritten note on my police Tahoe today at QT in Peoria. Just wanted to tell you how amazing that was and what an inspiration for all of the department. We aren’t the heroes. People like you who selflessly do kind gestures like that for us, you, you are the heroes. Thank you for motivating us. Your kind notes are truly amazing.” ~Eric M., Law Enforcement Officer
"IT MADE ME FEEL AMAZING!"
"You are the best! I’ve been the recipient of your generosity and it made me feel amazing! I actually teared up as I read it! Keep doing your thing! It really means a lot and makes a difference! I still have mine; I see it everyday because it’s displayed behind my desk.” ~Dean C., Veteran
"REMINDED ME OF WHY I LOVE MY JOB!"
"Natalie, I received your card today ... I am a Captain at Buckeye Valley Fire District ... After a long day of training recruits on extrication, your simple note of support made my day, month and gave me that feeling of support and reminded me of why I love my job after 15 years. I really appreciate all you do and you truly make a difference. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an angel." ~Dean M., Captain/Firefighter
“HEARTFELT & GENUINE!”
I came across the “Nothing but Love Notes” Facebook page and it immediately caught my attention. Everything that I saw on her Facebook page showed such compassion for others, especially first responders and veterans. I immediately reached out to Natalie to see if she would be able to come speak to our football program. Natalie and her friend JD came and told their stories and it was one of the most heartfelt, genuine story’s that I have ever heard. Both Natalie and JD have a love for people and helping those around them. Being a small part of the movement that Nothing but Love Notes has started was something that our football program and myself will never forget. If you ever get an opportunity to write love notes with Natalie or hear her story, I strongly recommend it. It has changed my perspective on a lot of things, especially how far a little act of kindness can go!
